Environmental products By: Brendan Snell and Tanner Werth

composting is when you gather garden debris and put all together to break down into soil. The compost can be a product called fertilizer. Fertilizer helps make the soil better for plants. One pro is that it helps plants grow better. And one bad thing is that it can be dangerous when its really hot outside. German scientist justus von liebig is shown for discovering composting. Composting

Enviro-Pig The enviro-pig is a pig genetically modified to digest phosphorus better. This helps so it doesn’t stink up the whole town. Regular pigs don’t digest phosphorus properly which makes the feces smell. One pro is that it helps so the feces don’t smell as bad. A con is that the FDA doesn’t allow us to eat it. It originated in ontario

Ethanol Ethanol is a bio fuel. World ethanol production for transport fuel tripled between 2000 and 2007 from 17 billion to more than 52 billion liters. Its purpose is to have a alternative to gasoline. A good thing is that it is a alternative to gasoline a bad thing is that it provides less energy than gasoline. It was found in prehistoric times.

Biodegradable products Biodegradable products are made from various items like plants. It helps us not use non renewable products like metals. One thing that’s good is that we don’t use non renewable products and one bad thing is that they tend to be more expensive than regular products these products came available in the 20 th century.

Plastic products made from corn Products from corn saves more plastic for different. The purpose of it is to save plastic. one thing that is good about it is that you can save a lot I mean a lot of plastic. one thing bad about it is that there more expensive than regular plastics. It originated in American people.

Questions What is ethanol? What is one type that biodegradable products are made from? What product is made from composting? True or false plastic made from corn can be a plastic cup What does the enviro- pig digest better of?
