Presentation transcript:

Reflexive verbs are verbs (actions) that you do to yourself. The same person doing the action is also receiving the action. In english reflexive verbs are indicated by –self or –selves (myself, yourself, herself, ourselves)

You can identify reflexive verbs by the pronoun se attached to the end of an infinitive verb. EXAMPLES: Lavarse Dormirse Ponerse Lavar vs. Lavarse To wash Lavar los platos Lavar la ropa Lavar el carro To wash yourself Lavarse las manos Lavarse el cabello Lavarse la cara

To conjugate a reflexive verb you have to: 1.Change the se (at the end of the verb) to a pronoun that matches the subject 2. Then move the pronoun from the back of the verb to the front of it 3. Then conjugate the verb normally for the subject me te se nos se

Yo bañarseAna vestirse me Nosotros cepillarse  ______ ____________ Ellos peinarse  _____ _________ Tú acostarse**  ____ _________ Yo dormirse**  ____ __________ baño nos cepillamos sepeinan te ac ue stas me d ue rmo seviste
