They will be open 7 days a week (including all the Bank Holidays) 8am to 10pm. There are many Christmas Specials on wine, beer and spirits. A cash machine will be installed in early January. Thank you also to Jennifer Corbin for switching on the lights, Ann Howe who produced mulled wine and mince pies, Clair Harbour who accompanied the carols, supported by the Brentford Dock Singers, Tina Noel who kindly helped with Santa’s gifts and of course Santa himself. The Dock Security team will be available on site as usual 24hours, 7 days a week. Please see their offers at Hyperoptic.com Residents’ Comments / Housekeeping Issues Board Update VAT exemption for disabled bathroom upgrades If you need to upgrade your bathroom to assist with disabled access and a household member is registered disabled, then the Government will waver all the VAT for parts and labour. Syon Park This year has seen a few changes on the Board as Directors have come to the end of their 3 year term of office and we have held new elections for their Blocks. Our new and re-elected Directors are: Caroline Turner - New Director - Nero Court Charles Sturt- New Director - Numa Court Brigid Scott-Baker-New Director - Augustus Close Chris Birch -(Re-elected) - Otho Court Katherine Baxter-(Re-elected) - Servius & Galba 1a Galba/Romulus Blocks are currently holding elections so if any residents are interested in joining the Board, please contact the office or the Chair directly on:- AGM reminder – Thursday 28 th January, starting at 8pm – in the Clubroom as usual. Management Surgeries: Monday 11 th & Wednesday 13 th January 4-7pm The current phase of block redecorations is now complete (Otho & Nero Court). Gas supply Nero Court – Properties which had lost their gas supply following a leak have now had their supplies reinstated; National Grid’s contractors (TRiiO) used a new method of repairing the existing supply pipes. We await further information on their approach to planned works elsewhere on the Estate. Syon Park wall/BBQ area pathways – this work is progressing on schedule and will be finished before Christmas. This will be a huge improvement on the previous path and improve access for all Dock residents. Lighting – the remaining street lights are due for delivery in early January and as soon as we receive them they will be installed. The flush mounted walkway lights are also being refurbished. brentforddock.com
