District 54 Goals at grade level Students who have attended District 54 schools for at least one year will be at grade level in reading and math upon entering third grade as measured by Measures of Academic Progress (MAP). close the achievement gap Each school will close the achievement gap for all students in reading and math as measured by both district and state assessments. top 10% nationally Each school will perform at or above the 90th percentile (top 10% nationally) in meeting individual student growth targets in reading and math as measured by Measures of Academic Progress (MAP).

Homework Homework will be meaningful. Students will not have homework every night. Some students will need to finish lab questions that were not completed in class for homework. Missed labs will not be made up but students will be responsible for knowing the information. (Lab data will be supplied) Please check to see if your child is using his/her assignment notebook. I will be available before/after school by appointment only. If your child takes the extra step....we will always take that extra step with him/her.
