Light Properties  Light is made of photons-bundles of charged particles that have no mass.  Light travels in all directions from its source  Light carries energy (wave)  Light doesn’t need a medium (electromagnetic)  Light ray – one single wave

Light Properties  Opaque – don’t let light waves pass  Transparent – allows nearly all light waves to pass through them  Translucent – allows some light to pass through but objects are unclear

Light Properties  The sun emits all the waves of the electromagnetic spectrum  Least intensity-radio Highest-gamma  Colors that are seen are reflected while all other colors are absorbed  Primary Light Colors – Red, green, and blue  Primary Pigment Colors – magenta, yellow, cyan
