Read silently the article “Outbreak” from the Junior Scholastic Magazine. In your journal answer the following questions in complete sentences by re-phrasing the question as your assertion statement.

Answer the questions in a one page essay, making sure you give viable examples, statistics, quotes to back up your assertion. If you are GT for English, you will write two versions of the essay- each for a different audience, making sure you practice changing your diction and syntax choices.
