Monday November 10 TEK: 17C- use a variety of correctly structured sentences; 19B- use reading skills to understand author’s message ELPS: 5F- write using a variety of grade appropriate sentence lengths, patterns; 4J- expand reading skills…inference. Read silently the article “Outbreak” from the Junior Scholastic Magazine. In your journal answer the following questions in complete sentences by re-phrasing the question as your assertion statement.

Answer the questions in a one page essay, making sure you give viable examples, statistics, quotes to back up your assertion. If you are GT for English, you will write two versions of the essay- each for a different audience, making sure you practice changing your diction and syntax choices.
