Scotland is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. Edinburgh, the country's capital and second largest city, is one of Europe's largest financial centres.

Royal standard and flag Royal Standard depict heraldic red lion on a gold field surrounded by a red double border sprouted lilies. Scotland’s flag is an image of a white St. Andrew's cross on a sky-blue cloth.

Bagpipes Bagpipe - a national musical instrument, the unofficial symbol of Scotland.

Thistle Thistle flower is semi-official national symbol of Scotland and is depicted, in particular, banknotes.
