PTC Organization PTC will continue to bring the teachers and parents together to work towards the same goal – positive teaching environment for our children and a great academic program: ◦ 13 voting members  Principal  5 Faculty Members  7 Parent/Guardian Members  2 Alternate Parent/Guardian representatives (non-voting) ◦ Open PTC Positions for term  4 Parent/Guardian positions, plus 1 alternate ◦ PTC year runs from June 1 to May 31 ◦ Meeting times Interest in joining PTC for the term, please contact

Stakeholder Collaboration Chesnut families, faculty and administration will continue to work together on PTC Action Teams to deliver Communications - Chesnut In the News, Weekly Newsletter, Social Media, Friends of Chesnut Website Community - Social Activities, Family Nights, Family Support, Diversity Team Curriculum & Instruction - Spanish, STEM Lab and Lessons, Farm to School Curriculum, Enhanced Instruction, Parent Education, Cultural Arts Facilities - Indoor/Outdoor Renovations, Clean and Beautiful, Chesnut Garden, Recycling Finance & Fundraising - Chesnut Challenge, Spring Fling, Book Fairs Wellness - Physically Active Community, Healthy Cafeteria and Celebrations, Faculty Wellness, Farm to School Health Lessons

By-Laws Bylaw haven’t been revised for several years so we updated to really reflect how we currently work and/or how we would like to work going forward. Highlights: ◦ At least 3 of 5 faculty members will be homeroom teachers ◦ To satisfy a quorum for voting, at least 2 homeroom teachers must be present ◦ PTC parent/guardian members can attend 2 PTC meetings via videoconference without issue ◦ Seat vacated if a parent/guardian misses more than 3 total meetings or 2 consecutive ◦ 3 evening summer planning meetings ◦ Action Teams submit End of Year and Annual Objectives reports to form next school year's Annual Objectives and Budget ◦ Incoming and exiting PTC members attend May PTC Meeting - includes presentation of Annual Objectives for upcoming year, PTC Training Bylaws Feedback? Please by March 31st. PTC to adopt bylaws in May meeting.
