Our Purpose The purpose of the District Leadership Team is to provide oversight and the “voice of the customer” during the implementation of the 3-5 year District Strategic Plan.

Key Tasks/Timelines Monitor the District Strategic Plan ◦ SMART goals & Action Plans ◦ Balanced Score Card Provide Input on District Initiatives ◦ Serve as the “Voice of the Customer” ◦ Provide insight/perspective into:  Stakeholder Satisfaction Surveys  Other key decisions

Tonight’s Focus; Parents & Teachers 11 Parents 1) Communication Not enough individual attention from teachers (particularly middle school and high school) Parents would like more feedback when student is doing well Parents would like more feedback when student is not doing well Include parent views when making decisions More overall feedback on child's performance 2) Addressing the Advanced Learner More courses for advanced students Students need to receive more counseling on the selection of courses Need a true gifted program Children need to be challenged, inspired, and motivated by the teachers 3) Foreign Language needs to be offered at an earlier grade level Teachers 1.) Involvement in decision making 2.) Show appreciation for your work 3.) Involved in the training you receive
