The Pathway to Success Enhance the Development of Staff Goal 6 – Initiative 3

The Pathway to Success Introduction & Purpose The Training and Professional Development objectives are designed to continuously improve the knowledge, skills and abilities of all employees so that they are able to think critically and communicate effectively, adjust to a changing environment, and enhance the quality of their work. Our purpose is to provide learning opportunities that assist in the continued growth of the university by maximizing the performance of our employees. We provide learning opportunities in supervisory, leadership development, diversity awareness and customized departmental consultations.

The Pathway to Success Discussion Our training and development programs have been designed to improve individual and organizational performance in addition to assisting ISU in achieving its overall institutional goals :  Sycamore Express  Community Engagement  Quality of Life A fundamental piece of the initiative includes the ISUNEW program that was implemented on January 3, There have been 141 employees successfully complete this program. With a year retention rate of 97% (4 separated employees).
