This is the computer case without any components added to it. The only components added are the PSU at the back and the motherboard on the bottom of the case.

Placing the CPU into its slot. They slot together using corresponding pins between the motherboard and the CPU.

This is placing the case over the top of the CPU to hold it into its slot and offer it protection from knocks and damage

This image shows installing the Heatsink on top of the CPU. This device dissipates heat away from the component and prevents it from overheating.

Slotting RAM into DIMM slots that are placed on the motherboard. There was only one RAM card in there. I added another one into the motherboard.

This is connecting the SATA cable onto the Hard disk drive which is mounted into its case. The SATA cable reduced cost and cable size and replaced the now outdated PATA cable.

Mounting Hard Disk Drive into its case which is connected by a SATA cable. This is an improvement of the old PATA cable.

This image is showing the graphics card slotting into a PCI Express slot. This is an improvement on the older AGP slots, which had slower data transfers.
