CONTEXT – THE CLEAN VEHICLES DIRECTIVE Directive 2009/33/EC (The Clean Vehicles Directive - CVD) obliges all public authorities and public transport operators to take into account: Fuel consumption CO2 emissions Harmful local emissions (Nox, PM, NMHC)

CONTEXT – THE CLEAN VEHICLES DIRECTIVE Different options for implementation: Setting minimum requirements (technical specifications) Award criteria Monetising environmental impacts (following a specific methodology)

AIMS OF THE PROJECT To support public authorities in procuring cleaner vehicles, in line with the requirements of the CVD To promote the exchange of experience between authorities  To contribute to the market introduction of alternative fuels and vehicle technologies ……avoiding this↑
