2 eBRIDGE Key Facts  The eBRIDGE consortium gathers key transport actors around the goal of demonstrating that passenger vehicle fleets can efficiently contribute to boosting the introduction of electric vehicles in urban areas and as a result, improving the market conditions of the electric mobility sector.  Among its 13 partners are mobility providers, local authorities, consultancies and academics from Germany, Spain, Austria, Italy, Portugal and United Kingdom.  Target groups are car users and decision makers of companies, local authorities, institutions, car sharing organisations and transport operators.  Main Outputs:  Start Up Kit containing Guidelines and Tools to favour decision-making towards EVs  Raising awareness and marketing campaigns to increase the usage degree of EVs  Knowledge generation on market barriers, potentials and perspectives of electric fleets.  Transferability and replication of good practices to initiate & promote electric fleets

3 Background  Electric vehicles (EVs) could play a main role in the transition to a low carbon transport system if the current market & attitude barriers are efficiently faced.  Passenger transport fleets have a great potential to boost a broader introduction of EVs for clean and sustainable urban travel: they are shared schemes and the purchase and maintenance costs are not carried by the user.  The lacking understanding on e-fleets and the need for effective coordinated actions in the field represent an opportunity to elicit knowledge and trigger decision-making towards electric vehicles.  The eBRIDGE challenge is to find out whether electric mobility is an alternative for a clean, sustainable and economically feasible urban travel and commuting.

4 eBRIDGE aims to demonstrate that fleet schemes can efficiently contribute to boosting the introduction of electric vehicles in urban areas and so help improve the market conditions of the electric mobility sector. Seven case studies will test and validate operational measures and promotional activities tackling informational and skill barriers to market adoption and diffusion of EVs sticking to the following objectives: 1.To optimise operational performance of the participating fleets through tailor-made approaches 2.To test & launch next generation solutions to increase convenience and ease of use of car sharing offers 3.To raise awareness of EVs among target groups through engaging marketing approaches 4.To contribute to a solid common understanding about electric fleets, knowledge transfer and expert exchange networks. eBRIDGE Goals & Main Steps

8  eBRIDGE will elicit knowledge and develop practical tools leading to an increase of the number of EVs in urban areas.  eBRIDGE will induce positive developments on (a) mitigating attitude barriers; (b) fostering policy-making towards appropriate frameworks and (c) stimulating the demand for EVs  Main outputs:  Start Up Kit oriented to optimise the operational performance of e-fleets and trigger behavioural change towards electric mobility among target groups.  Raising awareness and promotional tools targeting car users and fleet operators to improve attitudes towards electric vehicles and trigger behavioural change.  Knowledge generation and expanded networks to set the baseline on market barriers, potentials and perspectives of electric fleets.  Transferability and replication of good practices to initiate electric fleets and promote them among target groups. eBRIDGE Impacts & Outcomes
