Agenda 1:00 Review and adjust agenda 1:15 Review current status of latest draft portal including a walkthrough of the main and the first and second tier pages 1:45 Thorough walk through of each of the comments from the study team identifying what kinds of changes or additions would have to be made to accommodate each 2:15 Prepare a work plan for the coming weeks identifying specific tasks that would need to be accomplished before delivering to the LSI Constellation for the demos 3:00 Prepare a presentation and short demo for sharing with the LSI Interest Group and also for sharing with the WGISS Plenary on Friday

Most Recent Draft Portal

From LSI Constellation Working Group Enhancing User Access to Mid-Resolution Data  Cooperate together to design, develop, implement, and maintain a common website for the purpose of enhancing user knowledge about and access to mid-resolution LSI data and products tools by which users may expediently discover and access free (sample) data sets explore the feasibility of “bundling” and providing user access to data collected over common sites by multiple mid-resolution LSI satellite systems.

From LSI Constellation Working Group Ground Segment Operations for Mid-Resolution Systems  Cooperate in an effort to define and implement common data processing parameters that would allow them to provide users with mid-resolution LSI satellite data and products that are delivered with standardized metadata and in like data formats and map projections  Possibility of defining and offering users an orthorectified image product as a common standard data product produced from the VNIR bands of their various mid-resolution LSI satellite systems.

From LSI Constellation Working Group Defining Standards for Future Mid-Resolution Systems.  A WGISS committee could review the preliminary standards defined by Noblis and offer suggestions for revision and improvement.  That committee also could suggest additional parameters for which standards should be developed for future mid-resolution optical systems. Identify potential areas for additional WGISS support associated the new two new LSI Constellation goals for  Development of compiled data sets.  Radar focus area.

Since WGISS #25 Draft Portal v.1 Draft Portal v.2 Draft Portal v.3

LSI Constellation Support A possible phased approach  Phase 1: Explore possibility of creating a new GCMD/IDN “portal” to take advantage of existing wealth of land surface information already present in master directory.  Phase 2: Expanded web site “portal” to also provide access to constellation planning information and to “sample” data products.  Phase 3: Prototype of OGC Web services based “interoperable” access to satellite data inventories from several mid- resolution satellite data providers.  Phase 4: Operational web services based servers and LSI portal.

LSI Constellation Support Other ideas for contribution  Focus on “virtual” constellation in 2010 timeframe enabling access to the variety of mid-resolution satellite data collections?  Focus on one or few geographic regions in prototype. (e.g. Africa, South America)

LSI Constellation Support Next steps  Draft a specific task (deliverable) proposal and plan for review and approval at WGISS 26 Lead – USGS, Lyn Oleson Volunteers?  Seek agency commitments and participation at or before WGISS 26  Attempt to have a prototype available by WGISS 26 to use as tool to further explore and clarify requirements.  A representative user community group? GOFC/GOLD? To help clarify requirements and review design and plans and help prioritize.

LSI Constellation Support Possible Participants?  CBERSCRESDA, INPE  TerraNASA, METI  LandsatUSGS  IRSISRO  ResourceSatISRO  ALOSJAXA  SAC-CCONAE  SPOTSPOT Image  THEOS (2009?)GISTDA
