Who has rules at home?

Essential Question EQ- Why do we need laws and rules?

Standard SS2CG1: The student will define the concept of government and needs for rules.

What is the government? The government is the people who are in charge of making rules and laws of our country.

What is a citizen? A resident of a city or town, especially one entitled to vote and enjoy other privileges there.

What is a rule? something that a group of people have to follow and is not enforced by police or government but may be enforced by a leader of a group.

What is a law? legal document setting forth rules governing a particular kind of activity

Activity You will write three rules that you would use if you were the principal of the school. You will then draw a picture with it. When done with this you will be given a worksheet and decide which is law and which is a rule we follow at school.
