Positioning Order Management and GOP Capability OM only OM+GOP OM+GOP+ ASCP Checking on-hand and receipts against 1 org v Checking on-hand and receipts against multiple shipping orgs Single level ATO check Multi-level ATO check with configuration ATP capabilities, enhanced in 11i10 - Product family ATP check Combined item - product family ATP check 11i10 Demand class ATP check

Positioning Order Management and GOP Capability OM only OM+GOP OM+GOP+ ASCP Shipping lead time calculation v Shipping/Receiving/Carrier calendar support 11i10 Override ATP Backlog Scheduling Workbench Check ATP against legacy supply data by leveraging legacy collections - Region level sourcing

Positioning Order Management and GOP Capability OM only OM+GOP OM+GOP+ ASCP Allocated ATP - v End item substitution Multi-level supply chain capable to promise (CTP) Multi-level supply chain capable to deliver (CTD) Unplanned items ATP check GOP on same instance as OM GOP on separate planning instance

In Summary for OM and GOP … Recommend OM only if the customer needs The most simplistic, single level ATP check directly against the OM system Recommend OM and GOP if the customer needs Region level sourcing ATP checks against multiple order systems ATP checks using legacy supply data Recommend OM, GOP, and ASCP if the customer needs Multi-level supply chain or multi-level configuration ATP Constraint-based ATP based on manufacturing capacity, supplier capacity, and transportation capacity Allocated ATP End item substitutions

Positioning iSupplier Portal, Supplier Scheduling, and Collaborative Planning

Positioning iSP, SS, and CP Various configurations - Which one to recommend? iSupplier Portal (iSP) only Collaborative Planning (CP) only Collaborative Planning and iSupplier Portal Supplier Scheduling (SS) only Collaborative Planning only iSP, CP SS, CP

Positioning iSP and CP Capability v - iSP only CP only iSP+CP Suppliers view or maintain agreements, orders, ASNs, receipts, returns, quality, delivery and shipment schedules, invoices, and payments v - Self-service vendor management of vendor master data (address book, business classification, commodity classification, bank accounts (11i10)) Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) with suppliers VMI with suppliers with exceptions Consigned inventory from suppliers Consigned inventory to customers 11i10 VMI with customers Global inventory and fulfillment visibility

Positioning iSP and CP Capability - v iSP only CPonly iSP+CP Waterfall analysis - v Publish order forecast to suppliers (XML, flat file, PIPs*) Receive supply commit from suppliers (XML, flat file, PIPs*) Publish supply commit to customers (XML, flat file, PIPs*) Receive order forecast from customers (XML, flat file, EDI*, PIPs*) Exception management - user-configurable, extensible Liability analysis Fut CP on same instance as iSP n/a CP on separate planning instance * Future

Check Inventory Status Sample Business Flow Process flow 1 - Vendor managed inventory with suppliers You Supplier VMI Agreement VMI Agreement Check Inventory Status Receive items Ship items Pay on receipt

Check Inventory Status Sample Business Flow Process flow 2 - Consigned inventory from suppliers You Supplier VMI Agreement VMI Agreement Check Inventory Status Receive items Ship items Pay on use

Sample Business Flow Process flow 4 - Consigned inventory to customers You Customer VMI Agreement VMI Agreement Send consumption advice Receive notification, Check status Receive items Ship items Pay on use

Sample Business Flow Process flow 5 - Multi-tier collaboration with Collaborative Planning OEM Customer Contract Manufacturer Supplier Demand ‘systems’ Consensus forecast Run plan Supply forecast Demand ‘boards’ Run plan Supply commit ‘boards’ Forecast ‘memory’ Supply commit ‘memory’ Optional

In Summary for iSP and CP … Recommend iSP if the customer needs Collaboration with suppliers on procure-to-pay transactions (purchase orders, blanket agreements, contracts (11i10), ASNs, invoices, payments) Self-service vendor management of vendor master data Basic vendor managed inventory (no exception management required) Recommend CP if the customer needs Collaboration with suppliers and customers on planning processes like collaborative demand and supply planning, receiving and sending supply commits and order forecasts Vendor managed inventory with exception management Consigned inventory and ‘VMI with customer’ processes Waterfall analysis Global inventory and fulfillment visibility Recommend both CP and iSP if the customer needs A single integrated supplier portal for both execution and planning

Positioning SS and CP Capability - v SS only CP only CP+ASCP Publish order forecast to suppliers (XML, flat-file, PIPs*) - v Publish order forecast to suppliers (EDI830) (1) Publish order forecast to suppliers from Planner Workbench Receive supply commit from suppliers (XML, flat file, PIPs*) Receive supply commit into Planner Workbench Integration with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) (2) Drilldown into source document (purchase agreement) Communicate forecasts to suppliers in cumulative amounts Fut Communicate resource authorizations (1) = Custom gateway mapping (2) Publish plan information from ASCP to MRP * Future

Positioning SS and CP Capability - v SS only CP only CP+ASCP Exception management - user-configurable, extensible - v Receive order forecast from customers (XML, flat file, PIPs*) Publish supply commit to customers (XML, flat file, PIPs*) Waterfall analysis Global inventory and fulfillment visibility CP and ASCP on same instance as SS (and MRP) n/a CP and ASCP on separate planning instance * Future

Sample Business Flow Process flow 1 - Supplier Scheduling and MRP OEM Customer Supplier Forecast PO Agreement PO Agreement Run MRP plans Plan Forecast POs EDI830 Planning schedule Shipment schedule

Sample Business Flow Process flow 2 - CP and ASCP OEM Customer Supplier Forecast PO Agreement PO Agreement Run holistic plan Plan Order forecast Order forecast Supply commit Supply commit View forecast POs

In Summary for SS and CP … Recommend SS if the customer needs To publish cumulative forecasts based on POs and MRP planned orders To publish forecasts using EDI830 Recommend CP if the customer needs Collaboration with customers receive forecast, send supply commit Collaboration with suppliers send order forecast, receive supply commit Waterfall analysis Exception management (user-configurable) Global inventory and fulfillment visibility Recommend CP and ASCP if the customer needs Multi-tier collaboration with contract manufacturers and suppliers Seamless integration between planning and collaboration

In Summary for SS and CP … ASCP supports Supplier Scheduling today (ASCP publishes data to source; MRP and PO use the source data to drive SS if you need cum.accounting) iSupplier Portal does not show any of the Supplier Scheduling capabilities, as these have been largely replaced with Collaborative Planning’s capabilities In the future, Supplier Scheduling will not be available for new customers as Collaborative Planning will replace Supplier Scheduling’s capabilities

Architecture - Distributed Customers Suppliers Internet CP CP Portal CP Portal iSP Portal Collaborative Demand Plan Collaborative Supply Plan Exceptions Exceptions iSP You can deploy OM, GOP, and ASCP all in the same database instance You can deploy OM in the ERP instance (source) and GOP + ASCP in the Planning instance (destination) Different database instances can be deployed on the same or different hardware servers A single database instance can be deployed across multiple hardware servers using RAC or 10g Planning Instance OM PO SS ERP Instance

Architecture - Single Instance Customers Suppliers Internet CP CP Portal Supplier Portal iSP Collaborative Demand Plan Collaborative Supply Plan Exceptions Exceptions Single Instance OM PO SS

Summary GOP provides significant value add capabilities such as capable to promise, capable to deliver, multi-source, and allocated ATP iSP provides strong collaboration with suppliers for procure-to-pay transactions (purchase orders, ASNs, receipts, invoices, …) CP complements that with support for planning collaboration flows, multi-tier collaboration, strong exception management, waterfall analysis, and global inventory and fulfillment visibility CP supports customer collaboration as well! Supplier Scheduling provides cumulative forecasting capabilities to suppliers, which is not available in CP This will be future CP capability
