Smog Killer? On December 1952, London was affected a lot from pollution. All the gases from the chimneys, companies, and automobiles got thick. Since the air was really thick people began to die. In four days 4,000 people were killed by this cloud of smog. This can also happen to any other city if we keep on producing gases that are released into the atmosphere.

What’s that NOISE!!! Cars, especially in the city, make a lot of noise pollution. This noise pollution can affect peoples’ hearing. If the noise is too loud it can damage the ear hairs. If the hairs are really damaged it can lead to hearing loss.

What’s released??  Cars are more than half of the reason on pollution.  Many different gases are released from cars.  A 4 kilometer ride in average car can release:  Carbon dioxide (CO2)0.8 kilograms  Hydrocarbons: 3.72 grams  Carbon monoxide: 37.0 grams  Oxides of nitrogen: 7.72 grams  Cars are more than half of the reason on pollution.  Many different gases are released from cars.  A 4 kilometer ride in average car can release:  Carbon dioxide (CO2)0.8 kilograms  Hydrocarbons: 3.72 grams  Carbon monoxide: 37.0 grams  Oxides of nitrogen: 7.72 grams

Who’s Affected? Seniors, children, pregnant women, people with bad heart and lung conditions, asthmatics, smokers, and people who work or exercise outdoors are affected. Pollution irritates the eyes, nose and throat which can cause sneezing, wheezing, coughing and breathing difficulties. What Can I Do To Protect Myself? Listen for smog conditions on news and then consider ways to modify your day. Plan your day to limited outdoor activities. Try not driving your car as much. Avoid being in areas where there are a lot of contaminants.

The Solution The solution to this problem is that people should start walking to places. This can reduce accidents, pollution, and obesity in adults and children. Walking is a good exercise for people, especially when they are near their destination. If people use cars all the time they become lazy and that can lead to obesity, diabetes, and other health related problems. Not using cars means no gases are released, that reduces pollution. Summary  Cars affect our health in many different ways.  They produce pollution, lots of noise, accidents, and laziness in people.  They release many gases that harm our atmosphere and make global warming worse.  Cars can even lead to death in people from the gases they produce.  Cars affect our health in many different ways.  They produce pollution, lots of noise, accidents, and laziness in people.  They release many gases that harm our atmosphere and make global warming worse.  Cars can even lead to death in people from the gases they produce.
