INTRODUCTION European countries had interest in other countries such as India, China, Japan, and the East Indian islands (modern Indonesia and Malaysia).

INTRODUCTION The purpose of Christopher Columbus’ travels was to reach those eastern regions. The country of Spain gave him the money to make his trip to India.

CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS The mistake Columbus made was underestimating the size of the earth. Attempting to reach India by travelling west, he accidentally ended up in a place he NEVER knew existed.

INTRODUCTION The result in the failed attempt in enslaving the Native Americans was the need for additional laborers- which became the Africans and the Atlantic slave trade.

INTRODUCTION
