Where Do States Get Their Power? Tenth Amendment (Reserved Powers Clause) - reserves powers for the states - marriage/divorce laws, elections, education Concurrent Powers - powers shared by federal and state governments - impose taxes and borrow money Supremacy Clause - part of Constitution that states the Federal Constitution is the supreme law of the land
