INTRODUCTION: - Transformation is elementary to everything we do 2.ICC CRICKET WORLD CUP 2003: - Positives and Negatives 3.REPRESENTIVITY: - Cornerstone of our Transformation Policy - Progress at Work – A Statistical Analysis 4.PLAYERS’ REPRESENTIVITY - AMATEUR CRICKET: Black players’ representivity increases Black players participated - Blacks represented 52% of the players - Black Africans constituted 40% of the total number of 2106 players

5.PLAYERS’ REPRESENTIVITY - DOMESTIC FIRST CLASS CRICKET: On-the-field Monitoring - UCBSA Bowl Competition – 51% - Standard Bank Cup – 41% - SuperSport Series – 40% - U/19 Cricket – 51% These figures show an increase of Black Players up to 10% from the previous season (see Statistics Provided)

6. NATIONAL TEAMS: Record number of Blacks representing UCBSA National Teams: PROTEAS: - Morocco Cup: 5 out of 14 - ICC Champions’ Trophy: 5 out of 14 - Bangladesh Tour of SA: 6 out of 15 - Sri-Lanka Tour of SA: 6 out of 16 - Pakistan Tour of SA: 6 out of 16 - ICC Cricket World Cup 2003: 5 out of 15, compared to zero in 1992 and one in 1996 and 1999 World Cups - Tour of Bangladesh: 5 out of 15 - Tour of England: 7 out of 22 AFRICA CUP: - SA Team (Winners): 8 out of 15

7.UMPIRING REPRESENTIVITY: - Remaining Challenges - Umpires’ Data shows: * Youth Tournaments: 53% Black (37% Black African) * U/19 3-Day: 60% Black * UCBSA Bowl Competition: 20% (Target Area) * SuperSport Series: 33% (Target Area) * Standard Bank: 33% (Target Area) 8.COACHING REPRESENTIVITY: - Black Coaches now in the majority at Provincial Level overall - White Coaches dominate Senior Provincial posts (Target Area)

9.NATIONAL ACADEMY: - First time majority of Black Participants 10.WOMEN’S CRICKET: - A new era dawns 11. CRICKET FOR THE IMPAIRED: - UCBSA supports the following National Bodies with Finance and Capacity Building: - South African Deaf Cricket Association - Blind Cricket South Africa - South African Sports Association for the Intellectually Impaired - SA Blind Cricket Team Runners-up in World Cup

12.FACILITIES: 59 Cricket Legacy 2003 Projects in Previously Disadvantaged Communities (see Page 28 and 29 of the UCBSA’s Transformation Policy Brochure) 13.PROCUREMENT: Changing the Empowerment Paradigm HR & Recruitment - Previously Helen Irvine (100% White) – now Setho Consulting (100% Black) Marketing - Previously Hunt Lascaris (90% White) – now Brand Leadership Group (100% Black) Communications - New contract: Spin Media (70% black)

13. PROCUREMENT (Continued): Clothing & Equipment - Previously Palmers (100% W) – now Sedgars Sports (100% B) Information Technology - Previously Dimension Data (80% W) – now Moloko I.T. 14.EMPLOYMENT EQUITY: - Exceeding targets across levels of 50% - now standing at over 60% 15. UCBSA’s DELIVERABLES AND SUSTAINABILITY: Reaching our targets on a sustainable basis: - Cricket Development Budget: R53 million - Cricket Legacy 2003 Project: R25 million - ICC CWC 2003 Dividends to Affiliates: R144 million Corporate Governance: - ISO Certification by SABS - UCBSA now listed as one of SA’s top 300 companies - Only sporting body to receive both these awards

16.CAPACITY BUILDING: UCBSA’s top priority is Building Club Cricket: - R200, 000 allocated to each affiliate for appointment of full- time Amateur Cricket Managers - 6 Regional Cricket Operations Co-ordinators appointed to oversee Coaching and Development of Club Cricket - Partnerships to be formed with Local Authorities 17.HISTORY FOR ALL: Creating a new understanding - More than a Game – WP - Across the Great Divide – Gauteng - Blacks in Whites – KZN - The Story of an African Game – UCBSA
