Beliefs Caption Working safely is a condition of employment Employee involvement is essential All injuries are preventable I will get the level of safety I demonstrate I want

Programmed has established thirteen (13) Critical Risk Stanadrds From these Critical Risks we have 13 Life Saving Rules that we must all comly with if these risks are to be controlled. These are: Life Saving Rules Risk AreaPersonal Responsibility Heights I will always use fall prevention techniques where there is a risk of falling Contractors I will validate and ensure contractors uphold the same standards for health and safety Asbestos I can only work with asbestos under approved and exceptional circumstances Emergency Response I will always know what I need to do in the event of an emergency Safety ConversationsI talk about safety and Zero Harm at work and at home VehiclesI know my vehicle is safe and I will drive defensively

Life Saving Rules (continued) Risk AreaPersonal Responsibility Risk Assessment and Job Planning I know what can go wrong on every job and have done what I need to do to stop it happening Tools and Equipment I will only use the correct tools for the job and will inspect them to ensure they are safe to use Isolation Before starting work I will ensure all energy sources have been isolated and de-energised Housekeeping I will ensure that good housekeeping practices are maintained to minimise the risk of injury Manual Handling I will assess manual handling risks and where possible use mechanical aids or seek assistance prior to performing manual handling tasks HSE Reviews I participate in regular HSE review meetings (For example, Toolbox Talks, Pre-Start meetings, HSE Committee meetings) Training & Competency I commit to not operating equipment I am not trained for and will speak up if requested to perform a task I am not competent to do

A couple of Zero Harm questions - What work are you doing? What could go wrong and How could you or anyone else be hurt doing that ? What needs to be done to make sure that doesn’t happen?  Where do you think the next injury will occur in this business / site / operation….?
