Recruitment Focuses mainly on library students Fees are lower for them Students papers are part of the annual conference A special session is set up for student presentations Conference volunteers are students

New Professionals There is no formal policy, but… New professionals are normally included in committees Informal tutoring by senior librarians Informal mentoring by more experienced professionals

Challenges Empower new professionals into library association management Include them in library management positions Make the association “Younger”

Opportunities Change Association statutes Create recruitment and leadership policies Plan the incorporation of new professionals into the structure of the association
