Covenant University Executive Advance 2015-2016 Academic Session Introduction A tutorial system is a veritable tool for impactful learning by students A good tutorial is usually conducted in a less formal setting and it helps in mentoring of young teachers. An effective tutorial system is student-centred and student- driven It provides the student the opportunity to explain to others that which has been taught, according to the student’s level of understanding Therefore, an effective tutorial system is expedient for the University.

4. Covenant University Executive Advance 2015-2016 Academic Session Conduct of Tutorials Covenant University has a committee that drives the tutorial teaching method at the undergraduate level. For effectiveness of the tutorial system in Covenant University, its conduct must be coordinated by senior faculty assisted by young academics serving as teaching assistants. An effective tutorial system must also encourage regular oral and written feedback from students on the tutorial system.
