Desktop Publishing Lesson Overview Objectives Understand the different types of information typically found in a magazine. Understand how to use DTP/Graphic tools appropriately to emphasize certain elements of the magazine. OutcomesTime Task 1Create a Logo for your “Welcome to Qatar” Publication. Task 2Create the template for your Publication using a suitable DTP software package. Task 3Create the front cover of your Publication using a suitable graphics software.

Desktop Publishing Task 1 - Logo Start by producing a logo in for your magazine. Logo can be created in a suitable Graphics software. Canvas Size 100*100 (Pixels) – You must use layering – You must have a max of three colors – Must use grouping – Colors must be consistent with magazine

Desktop Publishing Task 2 – Setting up Publication Open Publisher Choose blank A4 Page – Demonstrate how to produce a 4 page booklet. – Refer to the video tutorials
