2.  A desktop publishing software that is included in some of the Office Suites.  Recall that it is best to use desktop publishing software if there are a lot of graphics in the document. Recall Word becomes unstable when too many graphics are included in a document (booklet project?).

3.  The beauty of Microsoft Office applications is that they are all similar in operation.  The key thing to remember in Publisher is you do not type directly onto the page. You must create a textbox and type any text that you want in the textboxes. This is very important to remember.

4.  Gazillions of templates are included in Publisher.  There is probably a template for almost anything you need to create. You can start with a template and modify it to meet your needs.  Also, the gray area around the white paper area is known as the canvas. You can drag images to the canvas and manipulate or modify them there. Or you may design a graphic from scratch on the canvas and then move it to the desired location.
