Toilet PaPer Can Really Help Your key to success in the FCAT!

How can you succeed on the FACT? Cross your fingers and hope the test is easy this year? Guess? NO…You need to know that… Toilet PaPer Can Really Help!!

First of all… You have to want to succeed. No one can do it for you. If you have not done well in the past, then you need to accept the challenge to change that! There are people who spend a lot of time predicting how well (or poorly) you will do on the FCAT—BUT YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN CONTROL THAT!!

So… If you are committed to improving your FCAT scores, here’s a little secret…

Toilet PaPer Can Really Help!!

T stands for… Title Circle it! You own this packet. Now look for subtitles, and circle them, too. Oh, and read them when you circle them!

PaPer The first “P” is for… Pictures. Circle them! Look and them. How do they relate to the title?

PaPer The second “P” stands for…. Paragraphs! Read the first and last paragraph. How do they relate to the titles and the pictures?

Let’s review… So far, Toilet PaPer stands for… Title! Pictures! Paragraphs…first and last!

Can The “C” stands for… Captions! You know, all the small writing. Could be below a picture… Could be details about a chart… CIRCLE THEM! READ THEM!

Let’s review… So far, Toilet PaPer Can stands for… Title! Pictures! Paragraphs…first and last! Captions!

Really The “R” stands for… READ the questions! But don’t stop there! Underline the …

Help The “H” stands for… Helping Words You need to write them in the margin. When you find one in the story…BAM…you got it!!!

So, Toilet PaPer Can Really Help Means that when you get your test paper, you own it! Don’t be afraid to write on it! Circle the Title and the Pictures. Read the first and last Paragraphs. Circle the captions (and charts or graphs). Read all of the questions. Write the Helping Words in the margin.

Other Hints… Relax…take the test one step at a time. Focus…pay attention while you are taking the test and read each passage and question carefully. Be confident! You can do well on the FCAT!
