World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Combustion Management Systems Servomotor/mod motor? Error code displayed on MM Fuel servo (channel 1) Error 01 or Error 41 Air damper (channel 2) Error 02 or Error 42 Auxiliary mod motor (channel 3) Error 08 or Error 43 Auxiliary mod motor (channel 4) Error 09 or Error 46

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Positioning error (01, 02, 08, 09) Mechanical problem Blockage or stuck valve/damper Gain error (41, 42, 43, 46) Electrical/Wiring No feedback signal Out of quadrant (-6 to 96 degrees)

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Cause of Error Establish cause of error before changing hardware Integrity of mod motor/valve (visual) Loose wire connection Mod motor to MM unit Check all connections Jammed fuel valve/air damper Oxidation Obstructions/blockage

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Mod motor fault Power down system Make note of wiring arrangement

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring S S

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Remove wiring to faulty mod motor Remove faulty mod motor from valve/damper Install the new mod motor and wire the motor in the same way as the faulty motor New valves, position of valve is not important Oil valves- to close position Old valves- to close position Mod motor fault

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring New mod motor installed Power up system (no fuel selected) Select fuel on control panel and immediately press COM on the MM keypad. This will stop the MM from driving the mod motor and the burner from firing. Enter password (correctly) (digit code) New password screen (water level)

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Drive the mod motor to closed position (at this time disregard angular position displayed on MM) Make sure fuel valve/air damper and mod motor will mechanically align correctly when installed If old style gas valve or oil only application, an external visual indication is not possible, remove servo and drive servo to pin to align with key-way in coupling Setting the close position

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Setting the potentiometer When the valve is in the close position, the potentiometer reading can be set Loosen tamper proof screws and rotate the potentiometer until 0 degrees is displayed on the MM display Retighten tamper proof screws Re-cover the mod motor

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Gas/Air sensors

World Leaders in Combustion Management Solutions End User Guide Lockout Codes Pressure Sensors Error Codes Flame Safeguard UV Scanners Wiring Each sensor has two channels. Each channel gives out two values- a pressure signal and a reference signal. The values displayed are ‘digitized’ signals (range ). The two pressure signals should be the same. The two reference signals should be the same. Reference signal- 1000±14. If the reference signal values display 0 or are blank then the sensor is wired incorrectly. Pressure signal- If the two pressure signals are different by more than 10 then the averaged value will show 01 and not the average of the two signals. With no pressure applied to the sensor the pressure signal value should be between 20 to 60. (typically between 40 to 50). If the reading goes below 5 then an error will occur due to a negative pressure on the sensor.
