Career Connections Holland Code What is your personality type and how does it match your career choice?

Shaniya Morin:Early Childhood Care Social- I am able to be social with others to talk with children or parent/guardian Artistic- I need to be artistic to plan lessons and activities. Realistic- I would rather play and do activities than have to read about the activity. Tasks: ●Maintain a safe environment ●Observe and monitor children's activity ●Communicate with parents or guardians ●Keep Records ●Support, encourage and understand the children. Skills: ●Speaking ●Critical Thinking ●Listen ●Decision Making ●Time Management Average Salary: $27,130 without college education. Average Salary: $41,000 with college education. Education and Training: You need at least high school diploma to be eligible for this job. Job Description: During this career you will be a big part of children's learning. This is the first time they'll be learning in an actual school. In this career you will be teaching young children basic skills. Such as hygiene, social and basic learning skills, as well as introducing colors, shapes, numbers, reading and writing. Why is this career good for me? This career is good for me because I love children, specifically the younger age range. I tend to do well with young children and children seem to like me,as well! Education/Training : Bachelor’s degree Tasks: ●Assess patients’ pain levels ●Monitor patients for changes in status. ●Setup and monitor medical equipment such as cardiac monitors. ●Administer medications by injection, orally, through gastric tubes or by other methods. ●Evaluate patients’ vital signs or laboratory data to determine emergency intervention needs. ●Document patients’ medical histories. ●Provide emotional support for the patients’ or families’. ●Conduct lung/breathing assessments to identify abnormal respiratory patterns or breathing sounds that indicate problems. ●Administer blood and blood products, monitoring patients for sign and symptoms related to transfusion reactions. Career Description: When a patient has suffered a heart attack, stroke, or any other severe medical issue, it is important they receive intensive medical care. Critical care nurses are skilled at providing such care in settings where patients can be given complex assessments and treatment. Two other careers that fit this Holland Code: Radiation Therapists Registered nurse Why this career would be good for me? It is related to the Holland Code I received from taking the personality test (SIR). This career is also very interesting in my opinion. This career would be perfect for me because I enjoy building things, and problem solving. I also enjoy using machinery to create structures.
