15 LANGUAGE TRAINING POLICY 15  Language training policy is an integral part of training policy  Serves as a tool for reaching language proficiency requirements that are specified for every post  Results of language training are dependent on MoD personnel management policy: Personnel policy consistency Stabilization of personnel Rational system of language requirements Adequate investment in E&T of personnel, including language training

16 LANGUAGE TRAINING SYSTEM 16  Czech MoD language training system stands on 3 basic pillars: foreign language education in military schools language courses provided in MoD language training facilities, courses purchased from language schools at home and abroad self studies of personnel, including distant forms of learning  Unfortunately budgetary resources committed for language training have been significantly downsized and might be even more reduced

17 LANGUAGE TRAINING PRIORITIES  Concentration on English language  Prioritized personnel categories: Personnel fulfilling force goal E 0356 Language Proficiency for Deployable Forces Personnel for NATO, EU, UN structures and missions Higher officers – requirement for SLP 3333 Students of military schools  Change in the length, content and organization of the MoD language courses
