About My Book TTTTitle: From the mixed up files of Mrs. Basil AAAAuthor: E.L Konigsburg

The Plot The plot of the story is that a girl named Claudia decided to run away because she felt like she had to do all the chores around the house and she thought no one appreciated her. She runs away with her brother and they live in a museum for a week.

Point of view This story is told from the 1 st point of view because Mrs. Basil is telling the story which is the lead character in the story.

CONFLICTS The conflict of the story is that Claudia has to do everything around the house and she feels like no one appreciates her or anything she does.

Characters The main characters in the story are Claudia and Jamie and towards the end Mrs. Basil becomes one of the main characters also. An example in the book of direct characterization was when Mrs. Basil wrote a letter to her lawyer she was speaking directly to him. An example of indirect was towards the end of the story when she was speaking to both Claudia and Jamie.

Literary Devices One literary device that the author uses is allusion because they mention Michelangelo a lot in the story. He was a famous artist and he also sculptured many things.

Likes and dislikes I liked the fact that they were smart kids and they always seemed to know what to do. When they were on the verge of getting caught they always came up with a plan to get away with it. I didn’t like it when they wasted their money on things that they didn’t need like getting a ice cream when they could have spent it on something they needed since they only had a certain amount.

Recommendations I recommend this book to people who like mysteries and like adventures because it describes a lot about what the character went through as they tried to solve a mystery.
