Soccer By Conor Creighton

About Soccer is a sport played by many people. It is a 11 a side sport. Professional footballers get paid from $500 - $500,000 a week!!! You score by hitting the ball with your anything but your arms into the net. Each team has their own jersey, shorts and socks. Many people pay to go to the matches live while others watch it on TV. Each team has a manager to tell them where to play and to train them. The managers also get paid loads of money.

The Rules No jersey pulling. No biting, hitting, etc. No handballing unless your the goalie and your in your own box. Don’t argue with the ref. What the ref says goes. If your offside when the ball is kicked, then the other team gets a free kick. If you get yellow carded twice then your off the field. If you get red carded once the your off the field straight away.

The Leagues (England) The Top English League is called the Barclays Premier League. The Second English League is called the Championship. The Third English League is called League 1. The Fourth English League is called League 2. The Last League is called the National League.
