EXPECTATIONS IN THE SIXTH FORM Freddie James - Year 12

FACILITIES IN THE SIXTH FORM Tia Tamou – Year 12

WHAT I WISH I HAD KNOWN AT THE START OF YEAR 12 Louisa Dodd -Year 13

Check your child’s diary to ensure they are recording homework Communicate with the subject teacher if there are queries Practising for the questions by discussing topics at home – which will help with the extended written questions that are often based on contemporary topics Check your child has developed a system for filing their notes at home so that they are prepared to revise before their January mocks and summer exams Check your child has all the correct equipment for the examinations (including a ruler and a calculator) and leave home early on exam days so that they are not rushed Help your child to plan and commit to a revision timetable in December to prepare for the January mock exams Reassure them that as long as they do their best, whatever they achieve will represent success Psychological and physiological well-being WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP

Thank you
