Learning Center Services Circulation Services – Checking in & out books – Loaner Chromebooks – Cashier services regarding fines Quiet learning environment – Access to Wifi for research – Questions and answers about Chromebooks Damaged or lost Insurance Drop off & pick up loaner or damaged Chromebook Lost & Found – Any lost Chromebooks will be turned in to the Learning Center Be RespectfulBe ResponsibleBe Safe

Learning Center Services Cashier & Fine Services – Chromebook Sleeve/Case Brand new: $10 per sleeve/case Used: $5 per sleeve/case Manufacturing damages: TBD – Broken or Damaged Screens Replacement: $60 (tax, shipping and labor included) – Chargers Replacement: $25 each (tax & shipping included) Lost / Stolen Chromebooks – With Insurance Please ask Ms. Cook or Ms. Bruner for more information – Without Insurance Replacement of the lost/stolen Chromebook is to be responsible by parent/guardian and student Chromebook: $300 each Any other damages are to be determined based on the severity of the damages/lost Be RespectfulBe ResponsibleBe Safe

Chromebook Loaners Each student was issued a Chromebook to use for the entire school year. If your Chromebook is lost/damaged, you may – Check out a Chromebook loaner; however, – Chromebook loaners can only be used on campus. They are not for checked out to go home. – Students and parents will be billed for the loss/damage. Students and parents will have 4 weeks to pay at the Learning Center. Currently, Students with a loaner Chromebook will be – Called in to the Learning Center within the first two weeks of school in January. – Billed accordingly to the damages being done. – Issued a loaner daily to use in school only. Be RespectfulBe ResponsibleBe Safe

Learning Center Operating Hours (effective on January 4, 2016) – Monday – Friday Chromebook Check Out: 8:00 – 8:10 No Check Out after 8:10. Reminder of Chromebook Contracts Be RespectfulBe ResponsibleBe Safe Be Respectful –Students shall use the device for educational purposes only. –Students shall respect themselves and others through the use of internet (social media, apps, hard ware, etc.) Be Responsible – Students shall be responsible for their own device and the content downloaded to the device. –Students shall be responsible to bring their device fully charged to school daily. –All devices are to be collected during extended holidays, when students travel outside of the U.S., and at the end of the school year. –Students shall take care of their device at all time (hardware and software) Be Safe –Students shall be responsible for the cost of the device should it be damaged, stolen, or lost. –Students shall not share your password, personal information, and identity with anyone in person or online. –Students shall be monitored both at home and school for appropriate behavior on the internet. –Students have no privacy rights in the use of District technology
