History Of The Internet The Internet has its roots in a networking project started by the Pentagon’s Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA). Their goal was:  Allow scientists at different locations to share information and collaborate on military and scientific projects ARPNET became functional in September 1969

EXPLORING THE INTERNET The Internet can be defined as a collection of interconnected networks, all freely exchanging information. It is regarded as the world’s largest 46 collection of networks which links together millions of businesses, government offices, educational institutions and individuals.
