First Timers & Delegates Briefing Gwenda Pennington Credentials Committee Chair

Credentials – recording who will vote Voting members shall be: The elected officers of the District Clubs represented by delegates, alternates, or proxies –Transfer of voting privileges to an alternate must be made at the Credentials desk Delegates and alternates report to the Credentials desk for initial registration Delegates (or alternates) then report to the Credentials desk/team to be checked-off to: –vote during the next business session –vote for candidates (during lunchtime today) Further details can be found in the Standing Rules in your Conference Book.

Voting A majority of voting members registered at Conference shall constitute a quorum. Clubs with over thirty members are entitled to a second vote One delegate (or alternate) may carry both votes Voting will take place during/for the following: Conference business sessions Election of candidates for: –District Officers and Area Directors –Nominating Committee

Voting during the business sessions Delegates or their alternates will sit at assigned tables: Votes will be indicated by the holding aloft of the relevant card: Votes will be tallied.

Voting for candidates A room near the foyer no has been set aside for voting for candidates from 12.40pm today: Delegates (or alternates) report to the Credentials team to be checked-in for voting The Tellers Committee will give voters the appropriate ballot(s) Voters place their ballots in the ballot box(es) Votes will be tallied.
