We come together every year at District Convention to UNITE members from all over our tri-state district to CELEBRATE a year of service as we share our year, celebrate our year, and also plan OUR future. While we have fun at District Convention… we have to take care of business

3. What is a DELEGATE? Delegate (noun) de lə gət: What does that mean?
“A person authorized to act as a representative of other at convention”
What does that mean?
YOU represent your home club
YOU get to elect your future leaders

Attentive and open-minded!
Listen closely to speeches
Review the Candidate Booklet
Votes with integrity!
Vote for who you HONESTLY believe is the most qualified
Represent the interests of your club RESPONSIBLY

We would now like to introduce to you the candidates that will be seeking office for the following positions:

Each candidate has limited time for both speech and caucus

A caucus room is where you will hear the candidate’s speeches and ask questions.

Silly questions will not be permitted
Do not bring in politics and other inappropriate topics
Any questions deemed inappropriate by the caucus moderator(s) will be dismissed

Forum for the final candidates of each office to present their final message to the delegates.
Membership of the House of Delegates shall be made up of delegates-at-large and two delegates from each club
Each final candidate will be asked two questions by the current officers
Nominating Conference will take place

9. Rules of the House of Delegates
The District Governor is Chair, and the District Secretary is Secretary
No CELL PHONE or other electronics
Fill up all chairs
Delegate entry and exit
Surrender ballot
Offices invalidated
Forum for the final candidates of each office to present their final message to the delegates.
Membership of the House of Delegates shall be made up of delegates-at-large and two delegates from each club
Each final candidate will be asked two questions by the current officers
Nominating Conference will take place

Liaison between Key Club International, District officers and members

Communicates with District Board members and creates monthly publications for their benefit

Presides over District Convention and District Board Meetings
The District Governor represents us on the Rose Float at the Rose Float Parade in Pasadena.
The first District Governor was from Oakland Technical High (Shout out to the KIWIS)
The Governor is a member of the International Council.

12. District Secretary Record-keeper Division Monthly Report Forms
Trains District Board of Trustees
Creates monthly publications
Must attend assigned events
Works with club secretaries and creates bi-monthly publications
Record-keeper for all clubs in CNH
Reviews all Division Monthly Report Forms
Trains District Board of Trustees and creates monthly publications for them
Must attend Key Club District Conventions, District Officer Conference, all Board Meetings and Trainings and assigned RTCs
Works with club secretaries and creates bi-monthly publications for them
The District Secretary records the minutes/notes for every official district event.
District Secretary keeps track of our numbers: service hours, funds raised, and etc.

13. District Treasurer Manages the budget Voucher forms
Trains the District Board of Trustees
Creates monthly newsletters
Works with club treasurers
Must attend all assigned events
Manages the CNH Key Club District’s budget
Keeps track of all voucher forms
Trains the District Board of Trustees and provides them with monthly newsletters
Works with club treasurers and provides them with monthly newsletters
Must attend 2 Key Club District Conventions, District Officer Training Conference, all Board Trainings and Meetings, and assigned RTCS
The District Treasurer makes the budget for the whole year!
The District Treasurer is your go-to-person for dues!

14. International Endorsement
Seeking CNH District support to run for an international position at International Convention
We may endorse:
Up to two candidates for International Trustee
One candidate for either International Vice President or President
Seeking endorsement is seeking for the CNH District’s support to run for an international position at International Convention
We may endorse up to two candidates for International Trustee and one candidate for either International Vice President or President
Serves a liaison to two-three assigned districts
Serves on an International Committee
Must attend International Trustee & Governor’s Leadership Conference
Must attend all International Board meetings and District visitations
Works closely with District Governors, fellow International Board members, and Key Club International staff members
