Watch University Grow April 2008 Construction continues on University Hospital’s new Cardiovascular Center, a four-story, 199,000-square- foot facility that will consolidate all state-of-the-art cardiovascular diagnostic and treatment services together under one roof. Completion is scheduled for Spring 2009.

An overhead view of the Cardiovascular Center from late March shows exterior construction is nearing completion.

This view shows the northeast end of the Cardiovascular Center just before windows were installed. Brickwork is nearly finished on the northeast corner of the Cardiovascular Center.

Construction workers are finishing work on windows on the northeast end of the Cardiovascular Center. The installation of second-story windows on the northwest side of the Cardiovascular Center was completed in March.

This long hallway will connect the Cardiovascular Center to the second floor of University Hospital. Wooden corner cabinets await installation in the universal patient rooms.

The shows an example of the beautiful tile that will adorn patient bathrooms in the Cardiovascular Center. The spacious universal patient rooms are taking shape inside the new Cardiovascular Center.

A large family waiting room will overlook the two-story atrium inside the Cardiovascular Center.
