Please be aware... Classroom Snacks: Students are not permitted to bring snacks from home to be consumed in the classroom. Special School Events: If a special school event includes the use of food, it is the classroom teacher's responsibility to work with the building administration, school nurse, parents, and activity organizer to provide for any appropriate allergy- related restrictions. A listing of suggested food choices for classroom celebrations and special events is included in the District snack list; available under food services on the SV website. Birthday Recognition: If a parent chooses to provide the entire class with a birthday treat, the treat must be non-edible. The list below provides some examples of the types of activities that may be used to celebrate a student on their birthday. Lunch with a special person Donate a favorite book to the classroom library after reading it aloud to the class Donate a game to the classroom for indoor recess Children can bring in non-edible treats (stickers, notepads, pencils, journals, packet of seeds and flower pots, bubbles, coloring books, crayons, side walk chalk, etc.)

Walkers/special pick ups: · At 3:10 the names of students that have a parent waiting to pick them up will be called and asked to report to the cafeteria. · Walkers are dismissed at 3:13 and exit through the front main lobby doors and may be met outside by the flag pole. · Students who regularly ride a bus home are not permitted to walk home with a walker. · Students are NOT permitted to ride a different bus home than the one they are assigned to by the Transportation Department. T he dismissal procedure for the school year: · Students MUST bring a PM dismissal form if they are being picked up at the end of the day (one form per student unless it is for siblings in the same classroom). It must be completely filled out and have the printed name of the person that is picking up the student. · If a parent does not send a PM dismissal form to school with the student, they could arrive at the end of the day to pick them up. Blank dismissal forms will be available for parents to fill out at that time. · The names of students being picked up will be called over the PA system and asked to report to the cafeteria. End of the Day Dismissal
