SOCIO-ECONOMIC DESCRIPTION Implementation of this Project will contribute to both the country and the region: –Cholpon-Ata town is the central tourist destination in Issykul. –Development of regional tourist infrastructure. –Safe air travel to and from Issykul for foreign visitors. –Economic development of the entire health-resort zone. –Improved living standards of local population in the area. INVESTMENT AMOUNT AND REPAYMENT Investment amount is 34,600, USD for Phase 1 and 45,800, USD for Phase 2 Source of Repayment is the Budget of the Kyrgyz Republic + the Investor is offered the right to start up construction of health and recreation objects and tourist infrastructure on 136,5 hectares allotted for these purposes by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in “Karakol” free economic zone. Reconstruction of the air travel infrastructure goes in line and simultaneously with the state of the art governmental policy aimed at enhancement of the health and recreational status of the Issykul zone.
