Introduction Did you know that ducks have webbed feet? The webbed feet help them swim. Read on to find out more about ducks.

What are Ducks? They are birds. They are diurnal.

Where do Ducks live? They live on farms. They live at parks. They live at places near water.

What do Ducks look like? Ducks have white, brown, and black feathers. Ducks have orange feet. Ducks have yellow beaks.

What are behaviors of Ducks? They build nests on the ground. They sit on their eggs for weeks. Ducks are very good swimmers.

What do ducks eat and how do they hunt? Ducks eat plants underwater. They dig their beaks in the water, get the fish, fish eggs, or plants, pull their beak out of the water, and swallow. Ducks also eat worms and insects.

What predators do ducks have and how do they protect themselves? Ducks go into the water or fly away to escape predators. Ducks are prey to some turtles and hawks.

What are some interesting facts about ducks? There are about 145 different kinds of ducks in the world! They usually live near water. They don’t live near oceans.
