It doesn’t matter if one is competing in the TOUR de FRANCE or the TOUR de CURE. Regimented training, good equipment and proper nutrition are “tools” for SUCCESS!

However, when the rider is a friend or family member, the FRIENDS AND FAMILY SUPPORT TEAM “tool” is the one that provides the boost the rider needs to be a success. It takes the FRIENDS AND FAMILY SUPPORT TEAM sponsorship to get riders up the hill to Carter Lake Reservoir, through the back roads of Larimer County and back to the Boulder Fairgrounds.

The FRIENDS AND FAMILY SUPPORT TEAM “tool” provides the most important element to the race… donations. Those donations will help the American Diabetes Association care for more than 23 million Americans who have diabetes (including more than 5 million who don't even know they have it).

On August 16, 2014 I will be completing 62 exciting and demanding miles in this year’s Tour de Cure and will be thanking the members of my FRIENDS AND FAMILY SUPPORT TEAM for their generous donations and sponsorship.
