CS/CAS Hours Community Service Project and Goes Green Project offers CS/CAS hours.

Requirement Participate in at least 1 chapter activity (projects, business tours, workshops) and at least 1 individual activity (projects, BAA) to compete at Sectionals. Group 1: Go green (individual), Financial Literacy (Individual), Stock Market Game (Individual), Professional Division (Chapter), Business Tour Group 2 : Business Achievement Awards (Individual), Government Awareness (Chapter), American Enterprise (Chapter), Community Service (Chapter), Leaders In action (Individual), Go Green (Chapter)

Project Age Group Certain projects are limited to particular grades only.

American Enterprise Project ●Goal: To promote the American Enterprise System in our community through outreach to local schools (Churchill) ●Plan for this year: Conduct activities at Churchill to teach students about basic finance and the economy ●Our chapter made it to Nat’s in this event!!!

Business Achievement Awards ●Service, Education, Progress ●Future: o Chapter recognition ●Business: o Chapter recognition ●Leader: o State recognition ●America: o National recognition ●F, B, L: March 1; A: April 25

Community Service Volunteering opportunities: ●Bridges program at Thomas Kelly Elementary o Every Tuesday after school o Tutoring, recreation supervising, teaching ●Bridges program at Winston Churchill Middle o Every Thursday after school o Tutoring, recreation supervising, teaching

Financial Literacy (Individuals, grades 7-10) Complete THREE required activities: ●Set 6 financial goals ●Create a budget ●200 word reflection and ONE activity of your choice: ●200 word summary on credit scores ●list of 3 scholarships you want to apply for for a total of FOUR activities. Project Deadline: Feb 6, 2015

Go Green Project (C/I) Chapter Deadline: March 6, 2015 ●promote environmental responsibility ●need our members to participate! ●tree plantings, park clean up, movie, etc Individual Deadline: December 19, 2015 ●for Grades ●Complete 5 activities w/ proof ●100 word summary

Government Awareness Project Promote the mission and benefits of FBLA to elected officials. Chapter deadline: February 6, 2015 ❖ 4 available spots for members ❖ Write letter + pay a visit ❖ Formal attire

Leaders in Action (Grades 11-12) ●Juniors and Seniors only - Avaliable CS/CAS hours ●Those interested must complete 5 out of the 10 activities and a reflection in order to achieve the status of a “Leader in Action.” ●Some of the activities include: organizing a food drive, volunteering at an elementary or preschool, tutoring for more than 10 hours, etc.

Professional Division ●The Professional Division supports and promotes FBLA-PBL, Inc. and its goals. Members: o Support FBLA-PBL programs and serve as liaisons between the workplace and the classroom. o Mentor FBLA-PBL members to strengthen leadership and provide career counseling. o Keep members informed on current business trends. ● Professional Division members receive discounts at Alamo Rent A Car, Amazon, Association Motor Club Marketing, Brainbench, Franklin Covey, GEICO, Hotel Discounts, HP, Men's Wearhouse

Stock Market Game ●$100,000 virtual funds to invest ●Game Dates: September 2nd - December 12th ●Individual or team of up to 5 ●All online ●Winner Publicized through FBLA
