Duties Fully responsible for entire product design process Possess full working knowledge of raw materials inherent to the Brand Oversee all aspects of presentation from boards to prototypes to articulation of ideas and market direction Making presentations to Design, Concept, Sales and Merchandising teams. Work closely with other members of the design team to ensure a cohesive product line is realized Provide recommendations regarding seasonal themes, edits to line, new concepts, etc. Research market trends Work with Sales & Merchandising to develop products based on customer's needs Coordinate all activities (pattern making/construction) to fabricate sample garment Work with Graphic Design, & Sales teams to ensure all project deadlines are met. Communicate with overseas vendors

Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design And/or Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising

Abilities Needed Able to construct samples from design specs to finished product. Knowledge of textile construction & terminology. Strong Illustrator / Photoshop / CAD capabilities. Thorough knowledge of silhouettes, fabrication, color ways, sewing techniques, graphics and trim. Good understanding of merchandising as it relates to sales and store environment. Computer skills: Microsoft, excel, photo-shop and illustrator.
