ASKING CLARIFICATION

Using Question Tag (QT) The Pattern : - Positive QT – Auxiliary verb +S (pronoun) - Negative QT – Auxiliary verb + not + S (pronoun ) - To be present ( is,am,are ) - To be past ( was, were ) - Modals( will/would, can/could, may/might, etc.  The Rule of QT - if the first sentence ( + ), so the QT must be in ( - ) - if the first sentence ( - ) so the QT must be in ( + ) Example : - She is beautiful, isn’t she ? - Ratih can speak English well, can’t she ? - Budi has a new ball, doesn’t he ?

If the subject the main verb are : No body, No one, Someone, somebody, Anyone, Anybody, Everyone, and Everybody, so, the subject of the Tag question should be : THEY. If ithe subject of the main verb are : Something, Anything, and Nothing, so the subject of Tag question should be :IT The negative Tag question of AM+ NOT should be : AREN’T.
