What Causes Climate? Notes. Introduction A climate is the average, year-after- year weather conditions in an area. Two factors are important in describing.
The average weather conditions of a region or the weather patterns that occur over many years. Climate is defined as:
WHAT CAUSES CLIMATE.  Weather refers to the condition of the atmosphere at a particular time and place.  Climate refers to the average, year to year.

Emerald Island

Factors Contributing to Climate 38°S and 120°E West Australia current makes the water colder. Mt. Saint Emeralla (Volcano) Wind patterns: Towards the equator

Location 30S, 120E Source:

Climate Description – words Climate, Precipitation, and Vegetation of Emerald Island Emerald Island’s location is about 30°S and 120°E; it is off the coast of Oceania. The climate in summer is usually around 30 degrees Celsius, and winter is about 10 degrees C, and spring and fall are both around 20 degrees C. The highest mountain is a volcano, called Mt. Saint Emeralla. There is a valley called Emerald Valley, the rivers are named Golden River and Ruby River, there is also Sapphire Lake and Emerald Straight. From January to July, there is 90cm of precipitation on average. Starting from August to the end of the year, the average precipitation is about 30cm. The average for the whole year for temperature is around 20 degrees C. The size of the island is about the size of Tasmania and Sri Lanka. The West Australia Current bring colder air but this is in the Mediterranean range so it is also a little hotter. But then again, the wind patterns can make it cooler at times. (166 words)

Climate Concerns Global warming concerns in this region of the world because it is pretty close to Antarctica. This is bad because global warming might make the island even hotter in the summer.

Agriculture –Emerald Island exports emeralds with Australia. The imports are meat, sugarcanes, fruits, and wheat. Even though we grow wheat and fruits. There is about 30 percent of planting land. We export emeralds because well, its Emerald Island.
