Web Archiving Service Fees CDL will begin charging for Web Archiving Service activity beginning July 1, 2009 Not a flat rate – charges are based on actual usage Basic cost is $1,500 per terabyte Does not include replicated content
For UC Campuses 1st Terabyte of storage is free 1 st year of activity at 50% of cost 2 nd year of activity at 75% of cost 3 rd year at $1500 / TB (– 1 TB)
Example: UC Campus Library Go into July with 622 GB in WAS –Collect another 675 GB in fiscal year 2009/2010 –June : 1.26 TB –Charged for.26 TB at 50%: $ Collect 930 GB in –1.16 TB chargeable storage (2.16 of data) –at 75% = $
