English English is set out in year by year expectations for Year 1 and Year 2. Year 3 and Year 4 expectations have been merged and as have those for Year 5 and Year 6. There are separate appendices for specific content to be covered in the areas of spelling and vocabulary, grammar and punctuation. Show these – copies on display

English Spoken language Reading – word reading and comprehension Writing – transcription (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) - composition (plan, draft, edit, proof read) - handwriting
