July 2014:  Draft Proposal / sent to be studied by the Provincial Councils February 2015:  GC studied feed-back from Provinces  Great support & sympathy  Minor modifications (only one AU presented important reservations)  GC made changes & decided to go forward. March 2015:  Letter on Montagne Year / Bro. Emili made the official invitation

Key elements of this Project: The creation of a minimum of 2 international communities in each of the 7 regions of the Institute (in Asia, the current communities of the MDA will be reinforced) Marists who ‘go forth’

The vision will form the basis and framework for the development of projects in each of these communities.

It is our hope that by 2017 there will be at least one of these international communities in each of the regions.

PROCESS FOR ESTABLISHING THE COMMUNITIES FORMATION AND DISCERNMENT ACCOMPANIMENT OF THE COMMUNITIES CALENDAR

End of September 2015: Deadline for Provincials & District Superiors to send names of candidates to the Superior General (Cf. 2a. & 2b.) October 2015: The Regions will present to the General Council their proposals for communities (Cf. 1a, b, c) November 2015: The Superior General will reply to the candidates and communicate with the Provincials. May-June 2016: 8-week formation programme. End of June 2016: Commissioning of accepted candidates for the new International communities.

Proposals from the regions Some regions may already have started to identify possible locations for the new communities. I would appreciate it if you would inform me of the results of your discernment before the end of October 2015.
