Book Talks  Red Glass

Quick Write: Music on my heart (Cont…)  Think about the ways music and memories work together. Draw a big heart in the center of your page and fill it with songs that live in your heart. Songs you’ll never forget will go in the center and songs you would rather forget will go along the outside.

Share Out:  Share one of the songs you put in your heart with your group and the memory that goes with it.

Reading Strategy Double Entry Diary and Summary!

Independent Reading Get a copy of your book and sit with your book group. While you are reading use the double entry journal strategy.

Book Groups Meet with your group and compare your notes. Write a summary of what you have read after discussing with your group. Divide up the number of chapters you have by 5 weeks and set your reading goals for each week. Write these in your planner.
