Strategic Goal 1: Enhanced Policy & Management Regime Business objective (BO) 1: Standardize policy framework.ZA General Policy approved ZACR SLD charters implemented dotCities policy framework finalised & implemented Approval of non-ZACR SLDs deferred to 2015/16 BO 2: Enhance regulatory mandate Extension of ADR Regulations dependent on DTPS Proposed ADR Regulations amendment deferred to 2015/16 in line with DTPS plans

Strategic Goal 1: Enhanced Policy & Management Regime Business objective (BO) 3: Improve access & quality of registry data Expansion of Whois database to other SLDs led to edu.za, net.za, org.za & web.za registry data updated for accurate Whois purposes Quarterly release of.ZA statistics across different SLDs led to update of registration statistics especially in smaller, non- ZACR SLDs. Annual research report release deferred to 2015/16

Strategic Goal 2: Developed Centre of Operational Excellence BO 1: Implement namespace operational standards Adoption of shared registration standards across SLDs: operational standards finalised for implementation in 2015/16 Provision of EPP-standard registration interface to smaller SLDs: edu.za, net.za, web.za registration automated. Increased Whois participation: alt.za & edu.za included BO 2: Gradual DNSSec deployment Deployment deferred to delayed ZADNA’s nameserver procurement & administration framework.

Strategic Goal 3: Inclusive Domain Name Community BO 1: Implement.ZA marketing & awareness Implementation through industry & media channels Engagement of key stakeholders through industry events & ICANN, Internet Governance & ICT Policy Review processes BO 2: Roll-out dotCities marketing & awareness Pre-launch and launch awareness & advertising carried out through registrar, online and industry channels.

Strategic Goal 3: Inclusive Domain Name Community BO 3: Implement capacity building program Registrar-reseller, DNS & intellectual property internship training offered in partnership with ZACR on a 10 month-long MICT-SETA approved internship BO 4: Manage dotCities & dotAfrica reserved name list (RNL) processes Government’s RNLs finalised for dotCities, allowing Cape Town, Durban & Joburg municipalities to pre-register their preferred names BO 5: dotCities communities Flagship dotCities launched: chestervillehigh.durban, nic.capetown, nic.joburg, nic.durban, zacities.org

Strategic Goal 4: Inclusive Internet Governance BO 1: DTPS engagement Internet Governance policy recommendations submitted to the ICT Policy Review Panel & included in final Panel’s report BO 2: Stakeholder engagement Internet policy engagements held through key events (e.g. iWeek) & key entity BO 3: Participation in key international processes ZADNA participated in key ICANN, Internet Governance Forum & other Internet governance processes
